Regain and maximize your functioning at our Neurological Rehab Center

We provide rehabilitation after back or brain surgery, spinal cord injury, stroke, and if you have Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) or any other of the conditions listed below.  Our physical and occupational therapists treat patients with the goal of regaining and maximizing your functioning, and improve your quality of life.

Services are provided for many neurological conditions, including:

  • Guillain-Barre syndrome

  • Neuropathy

Our team of therapists coordinates with your primary care provider, surgeon and others to develop a comprehensive, individualized care plan. They conduct an in-depth evaluation to determine areas of limitation and develop a care plan consistent with your abilities and goals. Included are medications, physical exercise, diet, psychiatric treatment if needed. Therapists will discuss progression with you and your family to set realistic rehabilitation goals.

Your treatment may focus on any combination of these areas:

  • Balance and coordination
  • Fine motor and dexterity
  • Gross motor training
  • Instruction in the use of adaptive equipment to enhance function and independence
  • Neuromuscular electrical stimulation
  • Neuromuscular re-education to teach proper body mechanics and movement patterns
  • Sensory reintegration
  • Strength training

We also offer speech therapy to help with speaking, reading, writing, or swallowing, plus stress, anxiety, and depression management; bladder and bowel retraining; and activities to improve mobility (movement), muscle control, gait (walking), and balance.
